Climate mural dedication

International Community High School
We celebrated the dedication of a new student-designed, community-painted Climate Justice mural at the International Community High School in the South Bronx. Students, artists, activists, and community members enjoyed live music and hot chocolate throughout the program.
Presented in partnership with:
Patricia Lewis, YUCA artistic director of the mural, and a painter and musician from Caguas, Puerto Rico who relocated to NYC after Hurricane Maria; the International Community High School, a progressive public school for English Language Learners dedicated to giving immigrant teens the opportunity to succeed; YUCA Arts, a Bronx-based community organization that engages, educates, and empowers youth through innovative arts and design programming.
